I am in the process of developing a few themes with Multithemes RWmultitool in mind. This has afforded me the opportunity to play with RWmultitool at length and I can honestly say that this app is long overdue in the RapidWeaver community. For those of you who have not yet heard about RWmultitool (hard to believe), this is an elegant app that will extract any and all images and graphics that make up a RapidWeaver theme and allow you to play with and manipulate said images and graphics and make them your own. It really is a remarkable tool.
December 17, 2006
There are two items in the final stages of development; one theme that is going to hit private circulation in a few days (subscribe to our mailing list to take part) and one theme that is going to be part of something bigger, early in the new year. Keep us locked on.
November 28, 2006
Many of you have undoubtedly hear rumors of this RapidWeaver theme in the works for a very long time. Some of you have even beta tested various versions of this theme as far back as 9 months ago. Then this theme got benched to make way for bigger and better things. Well that has changed since our outrageously popular themes "viEw" and "edGy" were released. There is now a perfect fit for the latest version of a reworked classic as it will now fall inline with our two most recent releases to make up part three of this eventual 4 part RapidWeaver theme saga. STAY TUNED!
November 24, 2006
This has been such a busy month! Two RapidWeaver themes have been released this month ("edGy" and "viEw"), with another RapidWeaver theme on the way VERY soon (so don't forget to sign up for our mailing list for great discounts). In addition, I have taken a great deal of other commissions, switched to a Mac Pro, started a new job as lead web developer for a company in a neighboring city... Where do I find the time?
What's going on with Duo? I'm sure some of you have wondered what the hold up is over the Duo theme update. Honestly, I never thought this themes trouble with IE7 would be such a mind bender! Having struggled through many different ways to fix this RapidWeaver theme, we have now come to a place where I think we are 90% complete. All that is left now is the get the top navigation to stay centered in IE7. I know it's been said before, but I really feel that we are close to releasing this one.

Have a look at "edGy". It's fun, young, fresh, and narrow (fixed at 615px for all those who will inevitably ask). It is just as easy to modify as "viEw" (there is a tutorial movie to show you how) and just as lightweight. The response in private circulation has been incredible over the last couple of days, so hopefully it's well reveived here also.
Have a look here.

Based on the successful response generated from our "viEw" RapidWeaver theme, we are going ahead with plans to publish 3 others like it in the near future. You can look for these to be released in fairly rapid succession since the idea of the series is to have all four themes relatively similar in their concept, features, options and usability. We should have the next of these RapidWeaver themes available in the next week or so, which will be a little more "edGy" and less curvaceous then "viEw". Again, if you would like to get this theme before anyone else and get 25% off, subscribe to our mailing list.
I would also like to make note of a great new upcoming layout supplied by Chris of Varsis Studios. It will be our first full joint RapidWeaver theme since "bizNas" back a few months ago, and I am here to tell you that this theme is going to be very attractive. You can look for that that theme late this month to early next month.

We proudly give you something to look at. A site with a view. This graphically intensive, yet lightweight but very innovative seyDoggy RapidWeaver has a whole new "viEw" on how to render a custom image header in ways you never thought possible. With rounded corners and shaded body, you might think the theme is a pig to upload, but the opposite is true here. You really can have you cake and eat it too. Take it for a spin; you'll like it.
November 02, 2006
Nearly 100 RapidWeaver users have had there first look at and even purchased seyDoggys latest, yet to be released theme, "viEw". How did they get their hands on it before it was even released? Simple. They subscribed to our mailing list to receive great discounts and sneak peeks of new and upcoming themes. If you don't like to pay full price, then signing up is the thing to do. If you want to wait, the theme gets officially released on Friday. Until then, take care.

Ok folks, badNas r3 is finally circulating. We have addressed a number of IE6 problems:
Turning of the logo, Title and slogan should no longer break the navigation. The changes were quite extensive and I am afraid converting your mods from r2 to r3 might be a bit tiresome. Just be sure to save a copy of r2 somewhere so you can refer back to it. Terribly sorry about that.
Thanks everyone, and please be sure to report any other mishaps.

We really appreciate your patience in this matter. badNas r3 is just having it's supporting css files cleaned up and verified after some rather exhaustive tests on the main styles.css. All users should have far greater freedom now when selecting various options concerning the upper portions of the theme (i.e. Title, slogan and logo options on or off, don't throw IE6 for a loop). The updates will be emailed out in the next 48 hours. Thanks.

On the one year anniversary of their initial launch, the relaunching of www.seyDoggy.com has taken place. seyDoggy, the parent company of this site, has repackaged from a web management/hosting company to a full fledged web and graphic design studio with in-house professional photographic capabilities. Obviously our css design capabilities were well known in our RapidWeaver themes, but it may come as a shock to you that we are very comfortable in the graphics department also. Feel free to have a look around and let us know what you think.

It has been brought to our attention that IE6 is not playing nice when the title and slogan functions are inactive while building a web site with our badNas RapidWeaver theme. This has been 99% cured and will be issued as an update in the next day or so. We know this might inconvenience some of you that have made modifications to your themes, so we will also include documentation on how to add the updated files without disrupting your previous mods. We'll keep you posted.

Dear Duo users;
I am pleased to inform you that the latest release of Firefox (1.5.0.7) seems to have addressed the "display: cell" bug that it had in earlier versions. This means that the top navigation bar of Duo should not render improperly and broken when viewed in FireFox. Be sure to update your FireFox browser ASAP. Thank you for your time and
patience. I know we have all been holding our breath for this bug fix.
If you have anything contrary to this to report, please let me know.

Remember when we had a vote for which theme would get released first? Well, we have hit major snag with compleX; the theme is not compatible with Blocks and Accordion at this point. The reason? Get this; it's a SAFARI bug! Who knew there was such a thing? Anyhow, thanks to Isaiah from YourHead Software for all of his hard work and research and helping us sort this out. We really were clueless as to the issue until Isaiah did some homework. I can not thank him enough.
While we restructure compleX to be compatible with these two popular plugins we have decided to go forth with the completion of badNas. I am just putting the finishing touches on the badNas tutorial movies, the promo page, the live preview, etc... so we should be ready to release badNas in the coming days. There are some really great features in badNas that I can't wait to tell you about.

Thanks to the hundreds of people who cast their votes and made this message clear. This has definitely been positive market research for us. You know it's funny; I had come across this site, icolours.ca, before, but had never really paid much attention to it. I don't have an Apple laptop and doubt I ever will, so the time I spent browsing a site that caters only to owners of these machines? Zilch!
However (italicized for dramatic effect), when I can across another quick blurb about these folks again, from a chap I quite respect, something immediately stuck out in my mind; these guys are Canadian! So off I went on my way to see what my fellow countrymen were up to (aside from knee deep in snow on Labourday weekend, trying to shovel a path from the igloo to the dog sled so we can get to the beer store on time).
I found a great range of colours (that's Canadian for "color", eh?) and patterns for that wondrous little half eaten Apple that dons the front of those little "Books", but best of all, I found a contact address to probe those Canuks as to the whereabouts of their nifty celluloid operation... It turns out, these guys are in my home town!
What a small world. Best of luck to you Mike!

We have suffered a fairly major blow to our work flow. At noon today, the server from which we operate our business, was hacked and all sites that resided on that server we defaced. In addition to this, all backups were also corrupted the hacker, which has left countless customers in limbo. While we struggle to return a sense of normalcy to our own sites and those of our customers we, unfortunately must put all theme development and updating on hold. We are terribly sorry for the trouble. Thank you for your support and patience in this matter.

I know it has been a long time coming, but we now feel RapidWeaver 3.5 is going to remain relatively unchanged from a theme standpoint so we are starting to roll out the remaining 3.5 theme upgrades. Next on this list is neWser. Not only are we making it 3.5 compatible, but we are giving it a facelift too. We are making the graphics better and much faster loading. We are fine tuning the drop down menus, and let me tell you, they are looking fine. And lastly, we are adding way more options; options like way more header and navbar colors to choose from, way more background colors to choose from and a selection different fonts. If neWser didn't get your attention the first time around, just wait until you see the new look or neWser.

Just caught my first glimpse of the Mac Pro! Nice stats on that baby, www.apple.com (you might have to wait a bit, as their servers are obviously being heavily taxed).
As will any other mac enthusiast, we will be giving you a recap of any news released at this mornings WWDC 2006 keynote speech by Steve Jobs. This years event is not likely to cause waves in the RapidWeaver community like MacWorld 2006 did in February, with the release of iWeb, but it will certainly have our attention with hopes of a new tower (meaning greater future computing power for seyDoggy :) ). Stay tuned for our periodic updates.
- 11:27 am - That's it kids! It's been a slice. Have to go drool over a Mac Pro now. WeeHee!
- 11:25 am - Leopard ships in spring! Crap, a whole new batch of RapidWeaver theme updates to do in less than a year! (grumble, grumble, grumble)
- 11:22 am - Those were just 10 of the new features due out in Leopard. Interesting to note that I am staying ahead of most of the other live feed sites... with Rapidweaver no less! Nice product Dan (that's my corporate plug).
- 11:18 am - Keynote presentation done over iChat! Now THAT'S cool.
- 11:16 am - iChat!! I still think it's for kids... but getting cooler I guess. Still no Adium, LOL.
- 11:11 am - Users can use "Webclip" button in Safari to make their own widget of any part in a webpage. Hmmm, this could be cool.
- 11:08 am - Dashcode will be available for developers to help make dashboard widgets. I might finally make one for seyDoggy. ;)
- 11:04 am - "to do" lists, might be useful.
- 10:59 am - "Mail" has major changes, guess you would have to use "Mail" to care. Go gmail go!!
- 10:57 am - Voice over is apparently incredible, sounds like a human voice.
- 1055: am - more crazy developer stuff. After all, it is the WWDC.
- 10:53 am - Core animation... beyond me. One of those intense developer things.
- 10:50 am - My most used OS X feature, Spotlight, just got better. With the ability to search an entire home network.
- 10:46 am - Virtual Desktop!!! Need I say more? Nice.
- 10:42 am - even 3rd party apps will be able to search for files in the past! This is freaking awesome!
- 10:39 am - Rewind one file or an entire HD, one day, one hour, or two days, etc... WOW! This is big. You getting all that Bill Gates? Might come in handy for your platform. LOL
- 10:35 am - dubbed Time Machine, slated to archive as changes are made? Not sure unclear, but would be revolutionary to say the least.
- 10:33 am - Leopard to have auto archive? auto backup? that would be nice. Would anger developers of app that do this already though.
- 10:31 am - Leopard supports 64 bit apps. Gamers here we come.
- 10:27 am - Mocking Vista's 5 year development... LOL
- 10:25 am - Over 3000 Universal binaries...
- 10:20 am - Mac Pro with upto 2TB storage and Xserve up to 5 TB storage! I can't even spell TB!
- 10:18 am - product line complete now, just 210 days. Wow, Intel must be thrilled seeing as they aren't shipping chips anywhere else these days!
- 10:13 am - 2.1 times faster than a quad! I gues that point justifies it for all those who blew thousands on a quad.
- 10:08 am - Mac Pro, old G5 case, 128Mb GPU, 64bit, woodcrest processor.
- 10:07 am - Marketshare skyrocketed in June... must be 5.3% now... lol.
- 10:06am - Jobs on stage with the usual RDF.
- 10:03 am - John Hodgeson on screen with a funny bit.
- 10:00 am - Macrumors and endgdget are the only ones live yet. hopefully more come on now.
- 9:58 am - My server is not meant for this... almost time!
- 9:56 am - Steve has what looks to be a regular cinema display with an external iSight
- 9:54 am - Here we go!
- 9:47 am - The developers are now piling in.
- 9:45 am - Stage looks the same as previous keynote by Jobs, i.e. previous two WWDC's and MacWorld 2006.
- 9:39 am - back online. Everyone is taking their seats for the Keynote from Jobs.
- 9:29 am - all apple online stores are down. You know what that means right? New product.
- 9:25 am - ARGH! Darn bandwidth! Server down! NOOOO!
- 9:16 am - The steams are beginning to update with some tantalizing tidbits, like "Hasta la vista, Vista" on a Leopard 10.5 banner. Nice.
- 9:00 am San Fran time... 1 hour to go!

Updates for neWser, Shiner and Shadow.
Some nagging issues have been cleaned up in neWser, Shiner and Shadow. The HTML now validates in all three. As well, neWser is now functioning flawlessly in all browsers, Shiner has had a few loose ends tied up and Shadow has had it's menus revamped to align better. I thank you all for your patience with these matters.
We just made it easier to get your seyDoggy themes!

Exciting changes around the corner.
There will be something new and something old announced in the weeks to come. After a meeting or two, we've decided to go back and revamp some of our older, more popular themes to:
On the administrative side of things you will see some changes too. For a while now, I (Adam) have been the voice that spoke for all of us. So much so that it is commonly believed that I am the only poor soul behind this machine called seyDoggy. This was merely for simplicity reasons. It stands to reason that one support guy would answer all of the questions in a rather uniform way. However, one support guy is no longer enough. So don't be surprised in the near future if your support inquiries are are answered by others that are behind the scenes at seyDoggy. Of course, if your preference is me, I will always be glad to serve you myself.
We hope that you will appreciate the upcoming changes and we look forward to your feedback when the time comes.
- clean up the code and repair all outstanding validation issues
- open up some of our older themes to newer options
- open up their architecture enough to allow some of the user customization enjoyed in our newer themes like "abLe" and "distan5e"

<a href="http://www.seydesign.com/themes/a/able.php">We are not "abLe" to thank you you enough!</a>
Lightened the load...
In order the better serve you, our customers, we have reduced our theme lineup by three. This was a very tough decision to make, but we felt that we should focus our resources on new theme development and support of our themes that perform better. Two of the themes, "flaG" and "waVeLength" had very low membership and we felt they were not representative of our abilities to date. The third theme we've dropped, "OpenShade", has one of the highest memberships of our entire lineup, however, our latest theme "abLe" can do all of what OpenShade can do, and more, we though it best to promote "abLe" over "OpenShade" to give future customers a better, more feature rich theme for their money.
This being said, we are committed to the continued support of these three themes, however, only "OpenShade" has a large enough membership to warrant a conversion to RapidWeaver version 3.5 upon it's release. "flaG" and "waVeLength" are not likely to make the conversion unless the changes required are minimal. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this might cause.

<a href="http://www.seydesign.com/themes/a/able.php">NEW THEME! We're finally "abLe" to release it...</a>
... at 50% off for a limited time!
Honestly, we didn't intend all the hype that has been generated around this one. We thought "able" would be somewhat of a quite release, but so much correspondence was generated when we made mention of this theme in the RapidWeaver forum that our inbox has been hopping non stop for days. I hope "abLe" lives up to all that you have anticipated. Some of the hottest features I wanted to highlight are: interchangeable header graphics; customizable features such as headers, margins, background, navbar and page colors; navbar positioning (of course); and about the coolest thing we have come up with... an open architecture that allows you to easily drop in some additional accessory packs that totally change the face of your original theme. Click here to check out "abLe".

Hold on, hold on... if your "abLe".
Yes it's coming shortly. "abLe" will be released soon. We just need to put a few finishing touches on some instructions on how to customize the theme to make it your own. Then we need to put together a few extra accessory packages to further enhance your theme experience. For those of you that have asked for a theme that appeals to the orbicule.com site lovers, this one is for you. You can customize this RapidWeaver theme until you are blue in the face. For an example of how close you can get, contact us to see a link.
