I thank all of you for being so patient. So what, you may ask, has taken so long? Well for starters, we spent a great deal of time looking for a fix to the IE7 issue that would preserve the original integrity of the theme. Once it became sadly apparent that it wasn't possible we then spent some time to figure out how we could rebuild the theme to work, and then how we could make it a better theme all-round.

So here is what you can expect to see in the new Duo theme:
  • faster uploads
  • improved blog styling
  • RWmultitool compatibility
  • full browser compatibility
  • up to date color options
  • improved split navigation
  • option to change the color of the top navbar
Here is the unfortunate part. Due to the nature of this IE7 bug, it was not possible to find a fix in the existing code base of Duo. This means that the theme was completely rebuilt from the ground up and any mods that you may have already made will not port over to the new updated Duo as easily as you might have hoped. However, we have made every effort to make the transition as painless as possible by relying heavily on RWmultitool lite (included with the new Duo) to quickly and easily add headers and backgrounds without getting your hands dirty in any code. You can be sure that there will be tutorial movies to guide you.

Yes it's true, and no it's NOT the end of seyDoggy as we know it. So what does it all mean? Lets take a minute to demystify the situation.

What is THEME WEAVER?

THEME WEAVER is a RapidWeaver theme development outfit by PUMP Communications.

What is seyDoggy's involvement?

seyDoggy is under contract with PUMP Communications to, among other things, help with the creation of THEME WEAVER themes. seyDoggy does all of the HTML and CSS coding and some of the graphics.

What is PUMP Communications involvement?

PUMP Communications oversees the artistic direction of THEME WEAVER. They are responsible for most of the graphics and layouts. They have the final say on layout, design, copy and functionality of the THEME WEAVER promotions and theme development. They are, in effect, the executive producers of THEME WEAVER.

Will seyDoggy still make their own themes?

Absolutely! Nothing has changed for seyDoggy at all. We will continue to make and support our own brand of themes from now until the foreseeable future.

Though I thought the last post might have cleared that up, upon reading it, I realize that it was not clear at all. So to those that have been asking; yes, dogPress is now available to be purchased on it's own. Visit the dogPress page for more details.

The Go Pro! bundle offer has come to an end. I would like to thank all of those who took advantage of this spectacular deal. I would also like to thank the other developers for all their hard work; without them, this collaboration would not have been possible.
