Creamy wide is coming soon to WordPress

Creamy wide is a wildly successful theme at seyDesign so it's only natural that we port it over to WordPress. The testing and debugging is going well so we'll be ready to release it sometime in the coming week. It is our current priority to get this one out there ASAP.

Also on the docket for WordPress conversion is 2hadow and waVy. So stay tuned for these great conversions.

We got crawled in short order.

Moving at the speed of Web 2.0 never ceases to amaze me. Just for interest sake, I thought I would take the search page for a spin (powered by Yahoo!) and to my surprise, Yahoo! has indexed the entire new site! It's only been live for a few days and yet the crawling has been done.

Of course there are a lot of the old pages still in the results, but those will fade after a while. So if you want to use the search function, go right ahead. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Getting to know the new seyDesign.

I can't begin to tell all of you how relieved I am to finally get the new seyDesign up and running. Is it done? Not at all. There are many things on the horizon; more content, more movies, more social net working, more feeds, more ways to get to know us... The reason we've held off on all that stuff being launched from the get-go is because that sort of stuff is easier to implement on the live platform. We thought it was best just to get it up and out and paint in the corners after. So far the response and reaction has been awesome. I am so glad you were all able to receive such a radical departure from the old seyDesign with an open mind. Our real focus on the new layout was to have user friendly navigation that would be easy to use and would always leave you with a feeling of knowing where you were at all times. The look and feel... it's intended to be informal and inviting, very community oriented and just an all round comfortable place to be and read and learn stuff. The "Home" tab has all the basics, the news, the resources (where you'll find the learning center), the transparent company and personnel information, the FAQ (which will expand with every new type of support question asked). The "Theme" tab is where you will find our products, RapidWeaver and WordPress alike. It's essentially in list form; select the name from the sidebar, learn a bit about it, find out about the design specs, features, live demos, etc... right there. The links are there right on each product page. The "Support" tab is where you can ask us for help, get in touch, sign up to be a member or learn about the other service we can offer you. The "Search" tab is how you can find your way around, whether it's through the search field (which won't be terribly effective for a while until the new site gets indexed again) or with the sitemap. I hope you have an enjoyable visit and I hope to here some feedback.

Welcome to the new seyDesign.com!

I am so proud to announce the opening of our new store at seyDesign.com. It has been a long time coming and what turned out to be a fanciful idea turned out to be a major undertaking. By the time you get this email the new store should be up and running (you might need to clear your cache if you've been a recent visitor). So what's new? EVERYTHING! You'll notice a new design and layout, a new architecture, a new team member, new resources and places to go. There is a new members area where discount codes can be obtained for ALL of our products. You'll also notice the introduction of a new version of Tuo... for WordPress (http://wordpress.org). Yes it's true, we have secretly been porting many of our themes to WordPress (courtesy of Ollie Levy). This is not so we can leave the RapidWeaver community, but quite the opposite. It is our hope that by offering a really great and versatile product to the huge WordPress market, we might attract more attention to the RapidWeaver community. I have to tell you, the WordPress version of Tuo is amazing and makes WordPress feel not so... WordPressy. There are lots more WordPress themes to come but we wanted to fully test theme and get our feet fully on the ground with the themes first. If you want to take a peek at Tuo for WordPress in action, take a look at http://www.wigglywumble.com. The other new thing you'll notice is a brand new RapidWeaver theme called waVy; it is our best yet. Wait until you see it. I hope you enjoy the new site. Slogging away.

Indeed, I have been working at so many things lately, that it is hard to focus as much time on the new seyDesign site that is truly required. I can't complain really; I have enough work to go around to the other guys so everyone is quite busy. I try to work on a page of seyDesign everyday, so it's getting there. be patient...

Man this is getting to be a big project! I think you'll appreciate the effort though. Won't be too long now.

Back to the grind.

Well it's been a few hectic weeks with a THEME WEAVER release and new theme from Varsis Studios. In addition, I have been pretty focused on getting my new productivity blog rolling; nutmac.com. But with everything back to normal for a bit, I am cracking the books open again to get seyDesign 2007 out the door. So I hope to see you in the flesh really soon.
